Get Glowing Skin before Summer Begins!

Ooooo. Summer is fast approaching.

Makes me wanna bust out my favorite summertime song – Thanks Will Smith!

For many of us, this season brings up anxiety. Preparing for swim suits, pool parties and vacations can take on a whole life of it’s own mentally, emotionally and physically. Believe me, I know.

So, today I thought I’d ease your pain by sharing my two favorite tips for glowing skin!

What’s most exciting about these tips is that when applied consistently, they get quick results. You’ll see and feel a difference within two weeks!  I promise!

Tip #1: It’s what’s on the inside that counts.

Honestly, great skin begins with what you put within! What you eat greatly affects your body.

So, my first tip is to . . .  GREEN JUICE daily.

Adding one green juice to your morning routine is like extra charging your cells with super duper fuel! Here’s why according to Kris Carr:

“Hands down the best way to increase our alkalinity and detox our purdy bodies is to consume a diet full of sunlight aka liquid chlorophyll.

Chlorophyll contains a powerful blood builder that’s said to increase red blood cells, improve circulation, ease inflammation, oxygenate the body, and counteract harmful free radicals. By eating (and drinking) a diet high in chlorophyll (raw fruits and veggies, especially leafy greens), we dine on liquid oxygen, the very substance we need to stay alive and thrive.”

Besides, all the cool kids are doing it!

In my own experience, I have definitely seen a difference in not only my skin, but my hair and nails and energy when I am consistently drinking at least one green juice every day. The Green Zinger
2 green apples
1 lemon
ginger to taste
1/2 bunch spinach

Your skin is the largest organ in your body and needs help clearing all the toxins you put into it or encounter just by living in our modern world. So, the greatest gift you can give it is to exfoliate it.

The best way to do that is by dry skin brushing!

I am a firm believer in the green juice power and I am going to try to be open about the dry-brushing but, I gotta tell you, I have my doubts! :o One thing that I think really makes me feel good about my skin (and myself) is being out in the sun. I give my skin 15 minutes of vitamin D and then try to be good about applying the ol’ sunscreen. I think that I look, and feel, more healthy when I’ve got that sun-kissed look.

  2. @Genie – It’s okay to have doubts. Won’t know until you try, right?! I always notice how smooth my skin feels when I’m consistent with my skin brushing.
