I’m Amber Krzys.
Before I go on, let’s address the pink elephant in the room, shall we? My last name: K-r-z-y-s.
It’s pronounced, ‘Kris’. Way easier than it looks, yes?
I’m a coach, speaker, dog lover and bodyhearter and my goal is to help you have a body and life you LOVE!
I believe we are on this planet for a miniscule amount of time and it’s our priority to make the most of it. Too many of us get caught up in the ‘When…Thens’. You know:
-When I lose 10 pounds, then I’ll wear my skinny jeans.
-When my skin clears up, then I’ll talk to that guy.
-When I make more money, then I’ll take a vacation.
I help people embrace where they are in their bodies and lives so they can experience the freedom, confidence, and joy they deserve.
That may sound contradictory. How can I embrace where I am if I want everything to be different?
Here’s the deal, you have to start somewhere and the key to any kind of lasting change is acceptance. Acceptance of where you are. Of your strengths and weaknesses.
It’s about getting honest with yourself and taking responsibility for your choices so that you can have a blank slate to create the health, wealth and happiness you want.
I know a lot about struggle and ‘when/thens’. I grew up in a single-parent home and worked HARD for everything I got. Early on I became obsessed with over-achieving and being perfect which ultimately smacked me in the face when I finally landed my big dream of working on Broadway in Mamma Mia.
Here I was living my dream, and I was completely miserable all because I believed having a better body – a perfect body – would make me happier and more successful. I tortured myself for years and forced my normal ‘square’ frame into an abnormal ’round hole’.
I blamed my body for the bookings I didn’t land or the guys that didn’t call. I comforted myself with food and punished myself with exercise. I was a mess – all because of a ‘when/then’.
Until, finally . . .
In 2008 during my Master’s Degree program in Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica, I had an epiphany. I realized I was in an abusive relationship with myself and I didn’t want to live that way anymore.
It was here where I overcame my own cycle of body punishment and negative self-image. This choice changed the course of my life and work forever. And ultimately seeded the creation of bodyheart™.
Today, I can honestly say I love my body and my life. I love what I do and more importantly, I love how I show up in the world.
My videos, programs, products and live events are all designed to do one thing: break you open to a body and life you LOVE.
I don’t claim to have all the answers. I’m still a student of life. But, I can promise: my commitment is to bring you the very best of what I’m living, learning and experiencing in the most honest, fun way possible.
My family calls me ‘Ambo’.
I consider myself a parent – to the most AWESOME doggies, Lucky & Matzah!
I enjoy the occasional margarita (just like Oprah) – on the rocks with salt!
I can bring it on the dance floor.
I have a secret obsession with the tv show The Bachelor. (I can’t believe I just admitted that.)
I grew up in West Virgina and currently live in Los Angeles.
I volunteer regularly at my Master’s Program – USM.
I believe in the power of choice.

Amber’s keynote was engaging and positive. I’m pretty sure every girl left that room feeling a little bit better about herself and inspired to work towards body peace. I was so impressed with the entire experience and am grateful that you came to our house for Fat Talk Free Week. You all left a lasting, positive impression. —
